This morning I just wanted today to be over with. Because tomorrow I’m getting my eye surgery done and I’m so excited to get these cataracts gone and be out of the fog. To be able to finally see clearly again. Hooray! 

I hesitate to get too excited, though, considering the surgery has been canceled twice but I’m praying the 3rd time’s a charm. 

But that’s not why I called. I called to tell you that I recognized early this morning that I was throwing an entire day away in anticipation of the next and that’s not the way to live. 

I made a conscious decision right then to enjoy and embrace TODAY because you never know what awesomeness may be in store on any given day. 

And as it turns out awesomeness WAS in store in the form of a new beautiful person who is helping and guiding me in a direction of providing help to specific people in need. A segment I’m particularly interested in helping and who I believe God is directing me towards. Cool, huh?

So embrace each day, man. Ya just never know.
